Plagio tu puta madre
Esto de los plagios es un poco como ser del Barça o del Madrid: en cuanto uno decide sumarse a la afición de un equipo u otro, ya pueden decirle que sus muchachos huelen mal que para él todo lo que caguen olerá siempre a flores. En otras palabras: si eres muy fan de un grupo, harás oídos sordos ante cualquier listo que venga a decirte que esa canción que tanto te mola, sí, ésa que no paras de escuchar, es en realidad un plagio gordo.

En Dando la nota nos pasa algo así con Nirvana, el grupazo liderado por Kurt Cobain que en los noventa ocupó un lugar destacado entre nuestras colecciones cassetteras. Por ello, a nadie debería extrañarle que cuando el primer entendido de tres al cuarto viene a señalarnos con el dedo que Smell Like Teen Spirit copia su famoso riff de esta canción de Boston…
…nosotros no podamos evitar arquear una ceja y mirar para otro lado. Porque vaya, sí, venga, digámoslo: una puede llegar a recordar a la otra, pero de ahí a ponernos a hablar de un plagio hay todo un trecho, amigo. En el fondo, como dice Tones en su Grandes éxitos de esta semana, esto no es más que otro ejemplo de que tampoco hay tantas formas de combinar cinco sonidos distintos. Otra cosa ya es que nos hablen de Offspring…
…porque ese lalalalala de su Self Esteem, cancioncilla que uno de los integrantes de Dando la nota utilizó como base para una tabla de gimnasia en el instituto (adivinad quién de los tres fue), apesta (nunca mejor dicho) a Smell Like Teen Spirit. Sí, de acuerdo, los que somos fans de una banda es lo que tenemos, que nos da por pensar que la rueda la inventaron ellos y todo lo que vino después ha sido y será caca de la vaca… ¡pero es que lo de Offspring es tener mucho morro! ¡Escuchad, escuchad bien esos lalalalalas!
Nos deis o no la razón, lo único que os pedimos es que al menos seáis sensatos y, puestos a defender los colores de vuestro grupo, lo hagáis como nosotros: con cabeza y cierto sentido cronológico.
Es decir, todo lo opuesto a lo que hace aquí nuestro amigo Angel.
