Cómo castrar una oveja
Terminamos la semana tal y como la empezamos. O algo así, vaya. Si el lunes arrancábamos con Yo me la follaba, nuestra súper lista de temazos interpretados por mujeres guitarreras, hoy apagamos las luces del escenario (momentáneamente, porque tenemos preparado un bis) con una actuación en directo de PJ Harvey interpretando Rid Of Me, la cancionzaca que encabeza la lista de reproducción.
No es una actuación cualquiera, ojo: se trata del debut de Polly Jean en The Tonight Show de Jay Leno en 1993, al que fue invitada con su segundo disco recién salido a la venta y para allá que fue, con su vestido y su guitarra, a cantarle a los americanos que le comieran la entrepierna. Atentos a cómo interpreta la segunda voz, casi como si estuviera presentándose a un casting de Alguien voló sobre el nido del cuco, y a la entrevista con Leno tras la actuación en la que termina hablando de… la castración de las ovejas. Viva Polly Jean. Como dice alguien en los comentarios al YouTube, éste es sin duda uno de los grandes momentos de la historia de la televisión.
