¡Aquí manda Wicked Wanda!
En efecto, esta semana Dando la nota regala música. Pero no cualquier música, no. Música especialita. Música muy nuestra. Tan nuestra que en parte la hemos hecho nosotros. Al menos, eso pasa con la que regalamos hoy: Wicked Wanda es la banda de rock cerdaco en la que servidora toca el bajo y berrea como un niñato malcriado consignas de la categoría de «24/7 de la fiesta / Esta noche, cariño mío no me esperes despierta» o «No seas tan mema, no seas tan cretina / Te voy a dejar las ingles hechas fosfatina». Hoy os traigo nuestra primera maqueta, Aquí manda Wicked Wanda, que podéis descargar de forma extremadamente gratuita justo aquí o, si no os funciona el enlace, está hasta los topes o a saber, en nuestra página de Bandcamp.
Lo mejor que puedo decir de Wicked Wanda (que, por cierto, es un personaje de tebeo publicado por Penthouse entre 1969 y 1979, y que aquí recibió el sabroso título de Wanda la Perversa) es que os gustará si os gusta Grandes éxitos, mi columna semanal en Dando la nota. Como Grandes éxitos, Wicked Wanda es un trío muy amigo del exabrupto, el guitarreo y la palabra malsonante. Títulos como Hijadeputa del mal o A ti te gusta mucho el mambo son buena muestra de lo que hago junto a Mr. Asterisco (guitarra) y Kiko Libertino (batería), y en nuestros conciertos se nos ha comparado, lo cual es todo un honor, a Siniestro Total o Electric Six y nunca, en ningún caso, a Coldplay, lo cual es todo un alivio. Un concierto de Wicked Wanda es lo más cercano imaginable a un número de El Jueves Especial Gente A La Que Le Va A Estallar La Cabeza y podréis comprobarlo, si os pasáis este año, por el Primavera Sound, en el escenario Myspace el sábado 29 a las 16.30.
