Bueno, pues después de que Luis y Tones hayan hablado de sus respectivas incursiones musicales, hoy me toca a mí cerrar esta semana dedicada a regalar música sacando a la luz la mía propia. Porque sí, yo también pasé una temporada jugando a esto de juntar soniditos, y el resultado fue un disco de cinco canciones y poca tirada (¡por suerte!) que he procurado mantener oculto hasta ahora por razones bastante evidentes. Pero en fin, dejemos a un lado la vergüenza. Basta con que pinches sobre su portada (aquí a continuación) para descargarlo.
Vale, no. Era broma. Deja de pinchar sobre la imagen, que lo único que conseguirás es hacer un agujero en la pantalla, hombre. Yo para esto de la música soy un completo negado, de ese tipo de gente que no podría componer cuatro notas seguidas ni aunque le fuera la vida en ello. Pero como esta semana la cosa va (insisto) de regalar música, regalaré la música de otro. La de Paco Alcázar.
Es probable que la gran mayoría de los lectores de El Jueves conozcan a Paco por su incombustible Silvio José pero ignoren por completo su faceta musical. Y es que Paco escribe y dibuja mucho y muy bien, sí, pero las andanzas de Silvio, Federico, Cubero y compañía se desarrollan en paralelo a las de Paco como músico. Yo la primera vez que supe de todo ello fue gracias a Humbert Humbert, el duo musical compuesto por Paco Alcázar y Miguel B. Núñez cuyo último disco tuvo esta portada:
O al menos eso es lo que piensa Spotify, porque en realidad la portada fue esta otra. Long Panic es el disco que puso fin a la trayectoria de Humbert Humbert, recopilando el primero de sus discos editado por Subterfuge y añadiendo Mini-Tank, una maqueta casera previa a Short Panic. Que nadie te diga lo contrario: desde la separación de los Beatles, el mundo de la música no ha vuelto a sufrir semejante pérdida hasta la separación de Paco y Miguel como duo musical. A mí personalmente me flipaban sus canciones, pero es que además, para rematar el asunto, daban unos conciertos de los de caerte de culo.
Después de Humbert Humbert Miguel siguió adelante con Cuerpos (de los que hablaremos con calma otro día) y Paco volvió a su estudio casero para continuar dando salida a las producciones musicales de Mal Amigo, la discográfica a la que pertenecen grupos como Robo-Tronik, Van Delay, The Art Of Self-Defense, Granito o Black Beethoven y que (excepto Granito) tienen a un solo hombre componiendo todos sus acordes: Paco Alcázar. Puedes escucharlos a todos ellos y descargar sus canciones desde el cuartel general de Mal Amigo en BandCamp, o cotillear sus respectivos MySpaces para comprobar, de paso, cómo discuten unos con otros, forman grupos con miembros de antiguas bandas de la discográfica y otras mandangas por el estilo sin olvidar que es un solo hombre el que maneja todos los hilos. Mal Amigo es sin duda un acojonante experimento musical, pero también (es probable que ya te hayas dado cuenta) una fiel radiografía de cómo debe funcionar la mente de Paco Alcázar.
