Las casetes
Pues nada, aquí estamos de nuevo, sanos y salvos tras unos cuantos días de asueto. Hemos sobrevivido a todos los festivales de verano (no acudiendo a ninguno) y a todas las verbenas veraniegas (en esto caso sí, a alguna acudimos, principalmente para constatar que lo de “garrafón” es algo que cobra un nuevo e intenso sentido cuando te lo encuentras en el incomparable marco de una fiesta de pueblo).
Volvemos con las pilas a tope, como podréis comprobar en la entrega de Dando la nota de esta semana. Arrancamos la temporada post-veraniega con un tema que ya tardábamos en abordar: el de las cintas de casete.
Estos cacharritos, que al lector más joven seguramente le parecerán cosa de sus abuelos, tienen un puesto de privilegio en nuestro corazoncito de treintañeros. Por ello, Luis Bustos les ha buscado un lugar en los museos, John Tones se ha escrito lo que prácticamente podría pasar como una oda a la casete y aquí un servidor se ha parado a repasar los objetos de uso cotidiano que todavía hoy podemos encontrarnos con forma de casete. Todo ello, como decimos, desde ya mismo en las páginas de El Jueves de esta semana.
Queremos aprovechar la ocasión para recomendaros algo que tiene el sello de garantía de Dando la nota presente en todos y cada uno de sus centímetros: se trata de Gracias por la música, un libro editado por Belleza Infinita en 2005 que recopila, a lo largo de sus 200 y pico páginas, una buena selección de portadas caseras para CD y casete. Una auténtica gozada, y el complemento perfecto para la entrega casetera que nos hemos marcado esta semana.
Como aliciente añadido deciros que, entre todos los ejemplos que el libro recopila, uno puede encontrar casetes de dibujantes como los hermanos Raquel y Leandro Alzate o Miguel Brieva, a quien todo lector juevero que se precie debería conocer. Un gustazo bien grande, oiga.
